Version 4.1.0 is a significant update incorporating several bug fixes, removal of unnecessary / obsolete plugin files, code improvements and some new features. The most important new feature has to do with filename sanitization. By default the plugin converts invalid characters in the filename (like accent and symbols) to dashes (-). Now it will also convert dot symbols (.) to dashes. This way the user will not get an "Upload failed! File not allowed." message when trying to upload a file containing dots in the filename. Of course this is the default behaviour. The website administrator can change it by changing the plugin's appropriate attributes and options.
