A) Installation/ Quick Start - top
1. Go to the dashboard of your WordPress site and click "Add New" in the "Plugins" panel. From there you would click "Upload", browse to QR-Color-Code-Generator-Basic.zip, and click "Install Now."
2. Locate QR Color Code Generator in the plugins list and click the activate link beneath it.
4. You will generate QR codes in the "Create QR Codes" panel, where you have 6 different options. After clicking generate your QR code will appear, and you can download it in PDF or PNG format by clicking the appropriate buttons.
5. All QR codes you generate are saved in the "codes" folder in the "QR-Color-Code-Generator" folder. All of these QR codes can be viewed on the "Manage QR Codes" panel. From there, you can download them in PNG and PDF format. You can also, delete them if you choose.
6. You can display your QR Codes in the custom widget that comes with this plugin. You can choose a title, description, and which code to display in the widget.
B) Useful Notes - top
- Make sure to test your QR Codes before sharing them.
- When customizing the color scheme of your QR codes, pick foreground and background colors that contrast enough that the code is readable.
- All generated QR codes are saved to the folder named "codes."
C) QR Codes Overview - top
The following is a list of the 11 types of QR codes you can generate with this plugin and a brief description of each.
- URL - QR codes which when scanned can bring you to any website URL or WWW address on the Internet.
- Email - QR codes which will bring up an email dialog that includes recipient, subject, and body.
- SMS - QR Codes which will produce a text message that is ready to be sent with a message when scanned.
- Phone call - QR codes which when scanned will produce a phone number to be called from your phone.
- WiFi - QR Codes which will provide wireless access information for mobile devices to connect.
- Bookmark - QR Codes which will prompt you to save a URL as a favorite.
