# JetBlocker 2.1 upgrade notes

## Platform baseline
- PHP: 8.0 or later.
- WordPress: 6.5 or later.
- Tested metadata: WordPress 7.0.2.

## Upgrade from JetBlocker 2.0
JetBlocker 2.1 upgrades the settings schema from version 2 to version 3. Existing 2.0 settings are retained. The new `detection_sensitivity` setting defaults to `enhanced` when it does not already exist.

The 2.1 detector adds network-level and multi-bait checks intended to improve detection of extensions such as AdBlock and privacy blockers. Administrators who are exempt from normal detection can use the nonce-protected **Test detector on homepage** button without disabling the exemption for production browsing.

After replacing plugin files, purge page cache, JavaScript optimization/minification cache, reverse-proxy cache, and CDN cache so the 2.1 runtime is served to visitors.

## Upgrade from JetBlocker 1.x
JetBlocker 2.x migrates supported legacy settings into the `jetblocker_settings` configuration object. A schema-version check runs on plugin load, so migration does not rely solely on a deactivate/reactivate cycle.

## Revenue recovery
JetBlocker does not promise to force blocked third-party ad networks to load. The supported resilient recovery mechanism is a first-party sponsor/house creative served by WordPress.
