# JetBlocker 2.1 - Troubleshooting

## Popup does not appear with Ghostery or AdBlock
1. Check whether you are logged in as a WordPress administrator.
2. If "Do not show to administrators" is enabled, use **Test detector on homepage**.
3. Change Detection sensitivity to **Enhanced**. If still missed, use **Maximum**.
4. Set Action mode to **Overlay message** rather than Recovery ads only.
5. Clear WordPress, optimization, reverse-proxy, and CDN caches.
6. Enable JetBlocker Debug and reload.
7. In the browser console run `window.JetBlockerLastDetection`.

Expected fields include:
- `localCanaryBlocked`
- `cosmeticBlocked`
- `remoteBlocked`
- `realAdsBlocked`
- `detected`
- `sensitivity`

## False positive without an ad blocker
Enhanced/Maximum modes use an external advertising-script canary. A strict Content Security Policy, DNS filter, firewall, privacy gateway, Pi-hole, browser tracking protection, or corporate network policy can block that endpoint even without an extension. In that case, use Standard sensitivity or allow the canary domain in the site's CSP/network policy.

## Popup appeared once but no longer appears
When "Remember dismissal for session" is enabled, JetBlocker stores `jbDismissed=1` in `sessionStorage`. Close the tab/session, clear session storage, use the administrator test URL, or temporarily disable dismissal memory.

## Popup markup exists but is invisible
Check theme/optimization CSS for rules affecting `.jb-panel`, `.jb-shade`, `[hidden]`, or very high z-index elements. Disable CSS optimization temporarily to isolate the conflict.

## No JetBlocker scripts in page source
Confirm the plugin is enabled. If logged in as an exempt administrator, this is expected unless using the Test detector URL. Also verify that the active theme calls standard WordPress front-end hooks.

## Recovery creative not shown
- Confirm Revenue Recovery is enabled.
- Confirm the page uses `[jetblocker_recovery_slot]...[/jetblocker_recovery_slot]` or Global sponsor banner is enabled.
- Configure sponsor title/text/image/URL.
- Confirm blocking is actually detected.
