Hide the version your WordPress is using to increase security. Hackers like fruits hanging low on the tree branch, so make it more difficult for them by removing your version.

** Installation **

1. Upload `hider.php` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
3. Go to your homepage, CTRL+U to view source, and confirm that the version number has been removed from Meta, as well as the parameters of your CSS and javascript files.

2. Upload plugin via `wp-admin/plugins`
3. Activate plugin
