== Description ==

Display a listing of your comments on other blogs in the sidebar. 

Whenever you comment on a blog with this plugin installed, your blog is informed that you made a comment. If your blog has Elsewhere installed, then your blog will show your recent comments in a widget. It's like trackback for your comments.

You should use elsewhere for two reasons: 

1. It shows your readers which blogs you find interesting. 
2. It automatically adds content to your blog, based on something you are 
already doing.

== Installation ==

1. Download and unzip.
2. Copy the elsewhere directory into your [wordpress-install]/wp-content/plugins directory.
3. Activate the "Elsewhere" plugin in your administrator panel.
4. Add the "Elsewhere" widget to your theme's sidebar.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= What happens when I comment on someone else's blog? =

When you comment on another blog with Elsewhere installed, your blog will 
receive a special pingback, informing it that you've made a remote comment. 
Your blog keeps that remote comment in an "unapproved" state until you approve
it. 

You will receive an email telling you to about the remote comment and asking 
you to approve it. 

*Note:* If you turn on "Show claims for comments on this blog" on your 
management page (on Admin dashboard/Settings/Elsewhere) then blogs that 
already have approved remote comments will have all comments automatically 
approved.

= How does Elsewhere prevent spam? =

Elsewhere prevents spam by:

1. Forcing all remote comments to be approved before they are displayed
2. Displaying links to remote comments with rel="nofollow" attributes
