Developer guidelines New styles in an widget --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Go file -> wp-content/plugins/element-path/includes/classes/class-functions.php 2. Go function -> get_widgets() 3. Go an widget, say elmpath_accordion 4. Currently 6 styles there, `'styles' => 6,` To add a new style and increase the value to 7 5. Now look at the `'views'` You can add a new template to render the new styles markup, example: `'7' => 'template-5',` or you can manage the template rendering with if logic in the existing template: `template-1``. Leaving empty will render the default template: `template-1` 6. Now add a file if you wish to add a new markup inside this folder: `wp-content/plugins/element-path/widgets/accordion/views/` as `template-5.php` New widget --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Go file -> wp-content/plugins/element-path/includes/classes/class-functions.php 2. Go function -> get_widgets() 3. Add an array element as like the existing elements in this array `$widgets` and configure the keys Example: 'elmpath_accordion_new' => [ 'title' => esc_html__( 'Accordion New', 'element-path' ), 'icon' => 'eicon-accordion', 'keywords' => [ 'accordion-new', 'toggle', 'collapse' ], 'styles' => 4, 'views' => [ '2' => 'template-2', '3' => 'template-2', '4' => 'template-3', ], 'class_name' => 'ELMPATH_Accordion_new', 'type' => 'self', ], 4. Add a folder inside widgets (Folder named must be according to the previous example: accordion-new) 6. Add files according to view. Following the example, there should have 4 files (template-1.php, template-2.php, template-3.php, template-4.php) 7. Add a file for the main class inside the root of created folder `accordion-new`. File should be `widget.php`. I suggest look at any of the existing widget class and configure it.
