Besides simple uniform fade, AnimateGL introduces directional fade, with threshold option.
Directional fade will fade the image from one edge to another edge smoothly.
Threshold option determines the transition smoothness between edges. 

= Translate =

Image can be translated in x, y and z direction

= Rotation =

Image can be rotated around x, y and z axis

= Corners Distortion =

Image can be distorted when translating and rotating, because each corner of the image can start and end the animation at different time.
