The ads.txt Guru system allows you to manage your ads.txt files online, automatically [validate your ads.txt files](https://adstxt.guru/validator/ "ads.txt Validator"), and collaborate between publisher and ad network to automate ads.txt updates. By allowing ad networks to manage their ads.txt records on your website without your intervention, the time-consuming process of manually updating your ads.txt files when ad networks make changes can now be totally eliminated. The ads.txt Guru Connect plugin enables you to connect your [ads.txt Guru](https://adstxt.guru/ "ads.txt Guru") account to your WordPress installation to automate your ads.txt file upload whenever you or a collaborator makes changes to your ads.txt file via the ads.txt Guru management system, this eliminates the need to connect your FTP account. It does the same for your **app-ads.txt** file, the mobile app equivalent of ads.txt, which is published as a separate file on the developer website listed on your app store pages. Each file has its own path and its own custom records in the plugin, so the two are never mixed up. Features & Benefits: * Automate your ads.txt management: No more text editors! Manage your ads.txt records for multiple domains from a simple online interface, on any device. * Collaborate with ad networks: Eliminate urgent updates and lost revenue, simply allow your ad networks to contribute to your ads.txt file and their ads.txt changes are automatically synchronized with your ads.txt file. * Built-in validation: Inherent validation eliminates ads.txt errors ensuring you don't lose revenue and waste time correcting mistakes. Update before connecting an app-ads.txt file in your ads.txt Guru account. = 1.1.2 = Security hardening update. All users should update immediately. = 1.1.1 = Fixed plugin metadata: reduced tags to comply with 5 tag limit, added GPLv2 license declaration. = 1.1.0 = Custom ads.txt records feature added. Additional ads.txt records can be configured via the plugin which are then appended to the ads.txt file generated by the ads.txt Guru system. = 1.0.2 = Minor changes to improve plugin text. = 1.0.1 = Update to resolve connection issues. = 1.0.0 = First official release of plugin. == Changelog == = 1.2.0 = app-ads.txt support, plus security and metadata corrections * app-ads.txt files are now updated by the plugin, with their own path and their own custom records, kept separately from your ads.txt file so neither can overwrite the other. Nothing is written to app-ads.txt unless ads.txt Guru asks for it. * ads.txt Guru names the file in both halves of the update request, and the plugin confirms which file it is writing before writing it. An installation running an older version of the plugin is not sent app-ads.txt content at all, so it cannot write it to the wrong file. * The file path form no longer requires the file to already exist, as long as its directory is writable. app-ads.txt usually will not exist yet. * Security: the path guard now rejects a directory whose name merely starts with the WordPress installation path, and rejects a home path that cannot be resolved rather than accepting any directory. * Security: the connection key, secret and token parameter are generated with wp_rand() rather than rand(). * Saving custom records now reports a file it could not write instead of always reporting success. * Corrected plugin metadata: 'Requires at least' is 3.0 (site_url(), used since 1.0.0, was added in WordPress 3.0) and 'Requires PHP' is 5.4 (JSON_PRETTY_PRINT). Both were understated. Tested on WordPress 6.9.4, 7.0.4 and 7.1 (RC3). = 1.1.2 = Security hardening and improvements = 1.1.1 = Fixed plugin metadata: reduced tags to comply with 5 tag limit, added GPLv2 license declaration. = 1.1.0 = Custom ads.txt records feature added.
