# Release checks

Run the isolated handler suite (no database connection):

```sh
php tests/handlers.php
```

Run the WordPress integration suite from a **local disposable/test site**:

```sh
wp eval-file wp-content/plugins/floating-side-tab/tests/integration.php --skip-plugins --skip-themes
```

The integration suite requires an administrator. It uses a uniquely named temporary menu table, temporarily changes display settings, and restores the original options and drops its table in `finally`. Do not run against production or concurrently with settings edits.

Coverage includes activation/idempotency, create/update/delete, persisted values, no-op saves, nonce and capability rejection, malformed input, missing records, database-failure responses, and unauthorized asset loading. The isolated suite simulates database failures; integration tests use WordPress and the actual local database.
